Thank you for considering The Perkins School! We look forward to getting to know your family and sharing what makes Perkins unique.

This year, we are pleased to offer two application pathways. We invite you to choose whichever works best for your family:

  • In-house application form and event sign-ups (links below)

  • Ravenna platform (click here for all forms and events)

Campus Tour

Discover a typical school day by taking a guided walk through our campus, with any opportunity to observe a variety of subjects and grade levels. We’ll take you on a guided walk through our campus, with an opportunity to observe a variety of subjects and grade levels. Barry, our Head of School, will also join us for a Q&A.

Campus Tours last 90 minutes and are for adults only

Attending at least one in-person event (Campus Tour or Open House) is required in order to apply.

Open House

Highly recommended! Join us at a Parent Open House to chat 1:1 with teachers, current parents, and school leadership. You’ll hear about our philosophy and approach to learning - and teachers will talk about their curriculum and how they differentiate instruction to stretch and inspire their students.

Open Houses are on Saturday mornings and are for adults only. This year, our Open Houses will be on December 12, 2026 and January 23, 2027.

Attending at least one in-person event (Campus Tour or Open House) is required in order to apply.

Application Form

When you are ready to apply, please complete your application on Ravenna or using our in-house form (link below). For priority consideration, please apply by January 14, 2027.

The $70 application fee is waived if you are applying for financial assistance.

Teacher Evaluation

If you are applying using our in-house process, please download the Teacher Evaluation and send it to your child’s current classroom teacher. Please ask that they return their completed form directly to Perkins. Forms can be emailed to admissions@theperkinsschool.org.

If you are applying via Ravenna, you will have an option to delegate the Teacher Evaluation form to your child’s current classroom teacher via the portal.

Financial Assistance

We believe that an independent school education should be accessible to all families, regardless of their ability to pay. By allocating 15% of our annual budget to a variety of financial assistance programs, we nurture a diverse student body and ensure that every child who is a good fit for our program has a chance to learn and grow at Perkins.

If you have questions about your family’s ability to afford independent school, we hope you will consider applying for assistance. Applications are due February 5, 2027.

Have questions about our financial aid program? Just give us a call at 206-526-8217 or email angie@theperkinsschool.org. We’re happy to chat with you.

Parent Meeting

After submitting your application, you’ll meet with a member of our admissions team. This informal conversation is an opportunity for you to ask general questions and ones more specific to your child - and to share your goals for your child’s education. Meetings last approximately 45 minutes.

Parent Meeting sign-ups will open in November.

Student Visit

Kindergarten - Kindergarten applicants will be invited to join us on March 6, 2027 to participate in a variety of engaging activities led by our Kindergarten and 1st Grade teachers.

1st - 5th Grades - Older students typically visit us in February during school hours. These visits are an opportunity for applicants to experience a day in the life of a Perkins student.
